Forrest

Forrest- .... I used Webster's dictionary to describe the names of all the rest of my dragons ... but a description of tree's is not what I'm going for here...

I named Forrest Forrest because she would get the most beautiful aqua green when she was happy and content. She was a calm peaceful dragon ... and the name just suited her. :)

Unfortunately Forrest passed away on December, 18th, 1998. :( We miss her terribly. She lived with us for 3 years and 4 days, and she was approximately 4 years and two months old.

She has been gone for a while now, but there isn't a day that goes by that I don't at least think of her briefly. May you rest in peace my Forrest. :( I will be updating her page in the near future with some very good pictures of her.

Vital Statistics:

  • Name: Forrest

  • Sex: Female

  •      Nicknames: For for, Four on the floor, and Preeeeety grrrrrrrrl! When she first arrived she was known as big one, and clingon 'cause she wouldn't let go!.

  •      Country of Origin: China, Hong Kong- Captive Bred

Forrest was only 10.75 inches when she arrived at our house. She was 13 months old at that time.

  • Age: Exactly 4 years old as of November, 1998
  • Length: 8.5" svl, 28.75 stl
  • Favourite Pastimes:
    •      Hanging out in the water- she loved being in the water more than anything!

    •       Forrest had a broken tail- one of the vertebrae near the base of the tail was actually broken so she lived in a 77 gallon tank away from the other dragons. We kept her there in order to limit her climbing and her chances of re-injuring her tail. Therefore her next favourite place to be was in the other dragons Big Vivarium!

    •       Like Night one of her favourite places in the vivarium was the log ... I believe you can see Puffs face at the other side of this log if you look closely.

    •      Forrest was a quite little dragon (actually big dragon!) who liked to spend time on her own. The other dragons had a tendency to pick on her when she was with them anyway so perhaps she was better off on her own.

    •       Forrest had a passion for white food items ... freshly shed king mealworms, the occasional waxworm, freshly shed crickets... Do you have any idea how hard it was to feed her when she was being picky!? I give all my dragons a tiny bit of yogurt perhaps once a month. Its good for their stomachs .... Forrest had just had some yogurt in this picture and had snuffed some up her snout!
